Please follow these instructions when booking appointments online to ensure success:
Please review these appointment types carefully so we can best accommodate you and avoid having to reschedule your appointment
These visits consist of developmental milestone screening, growth measurements, physical exam, and often immunizations. The schedule for well baby visits is by baby’s age and occur at 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 18 months
This visit type should be used if this is the first time (or if it’s been greater than 6 months) you are needing to see a physician for concerns related to your mental health (for example - anxiety, stress, depression symptoms). If you have already been seeing your physician for this and they’ve asked you to book a follow-up appointment, please do not select this type, rather select MH - Follow-Up
This visit type is a follow-up to your initial or ongoing follow-up mental health visits. You will receive an email with the questionnaires for anxiety and depression symptoms you’ve completed previously and this is to track your progress and response to treatment. Please do not select this visit type if you haven’t spoken to your physician about your mental health previously, rather select MH - Initial
This appointment type is for new illnesses/symptoms - for example, urinary tract infections, respiratory illnesses (cough/cold/flu/strep throat), fever for more than 24 hours, etc. Please do not use this appointment type for a non-illness related request or for a condition that has been ongoing for more than a week. We reserve time each day to fit-in these urgent appointments - if you do not see an appointment time available online, please call the office.
This visit is ONLY to receive an immunization or other injection (ie allergy shot). No issues are to be discussed at this appointment as the time allotted is to receive your injection only and your appointment may be in the nurses station with a nurse.
Please bring your vaccine with you (from your pharmacy), if it has been prescribed. Pharmacists are able to administer vaccines, please consider this option as you may not need an appointment with us.
If you need a TB SKIN TEST, call the office as these appointments are set up differently.
This visit type is to focus on preventive health measures. Previously known as a “Physical” or “Annual Check-Up”, it is now referred to as a Preventive Health Visit or PERIODIC Health Visit, to reflect that it doesn’t need to occur annually and the focus is on prevention. This appointment type is for adults 50 years of age and older. Your physician will review your health history, medications, perform an evidence-based physical exam, discuss and order preventive screening tests you are due for, and review and give immunizations you are eligible for. As you can see there is a lot to review at these appointments, if you have any symptoms or new health concerns, you should NOT book this type of appointment. No other issues can be discussed within the time allotted for these types of visits. Please book a separate appointment on another day.
This appointment type is for a general medical concern, either new or follow-up. To ensure your concern is safely and adequately addressed, we ask you to only focus on one concern per appointment. Sometimes it can be difficult for patients to know whether other concerns may be relevant or related to their initial concern, in which case your physician can assist you with this during your appointment. You may be asked to book a separate appointment another day to review an unrelated concern.
This appointment type is for a diabetes visit. Patients with diabetes should be seen in-person by their provider every 3 months with bloodwork prior to each visit. Generally, patients with pre-diabetes are seen every 6-12 months, or as discussed with your physician. Other health concerns or new symptoms/issues cannot be discussed at this appointments as they are dedicated to focus on your diabetes care and management.
This appointment type is a follow-up appointment for your pregnancy. Please ensure you have already booked an initial appointment if you are newly pregnant and haven’t seen a provider yet (please call the office to schedule). The routine schedule for prenatal appointments is every 4 weeks for the first two trimesters (up to 28 weeks), then every 2 weeks up until 36 weeks. Dr. Dobson generally will refer you to an obstetrician around 28-30 weeks.
We do offer telephone appointments, however these must be booked by calling the office and cannot be booked online. This is to review the appropriateness of adequately addressing your concern over the phone vs seeing you in person.
